Blue Point Spring Fling

Hey guys!

So this weekend myfreinds and I went out and I decided to try a new beer. Spring is here and I decided that it was time to explore some type of spring ale.
When I walked into the beer destributor I was exploring their various spring ales and I came across Blue Point's Spring Fling ale. I didn't hesitate to pick it up because I love all of the other Blue Point beers. After paying for it and arriving to my "drinking destination" I cracked open a cold one. At first the beer reminded me of Blue Point's toaseted lager; however, the aftertaste was much lighter. Spring Fling is a copper ale and in my opinion these beers are hard to predict the final flavor. However for this brew, Blue Point balances flavor and mouth feel perfectly in this spring offering.
If you catch this beer before the season is over I highly recommend it. Also if you are a fan of other Blue Point beers I can almost guarantee that you will enjoy this brew!!

Thanks Guys
John Mancini

  1. I have to try this one!
Honestly, I totally hate blue point blueberry though, hope it isn't as light as that one. Sam Adam's Alpine Springs is my new favorite spring beer, I'm thinking its going to be hard to compete with :|

  2. I too recently tried Blue Point's Spring Fling ale and really enjoyed it. I thought it had good balance and had a crisp finish. It is definitely a great beer for the season and worth a try.

  5. I'm a bartender who serves the Bluepoint toasted lager, however, after the review on the Spring Ale, I may put an order in for a keg.
